PROMOTING OPTIMUM CHILD DEVELOPMENT
The Nanaimo Child Development Centre is a community-based, non profit organization that has been an integral part of the community since 1967. The Child Development Centre has a mandate to provide individualized services for children, from birth to age 19, and their families that promote optimum child development.

Complex Developmental Behavioural Conditions (CDBC)


Through referral from a pediatrician, we provide Tier 3 assessment services for children from birth to 19 years of age with a query of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, or other complex developmental conditions. Services provided include assessment/functional recommendations, referrals to other resources as needed, and a post-assessment family conference. The CDBC team includes a Psychologist, Speech Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist and Program Coordinator.
